Arteriosclerosis

Arteriosclerosis is a vascular disease in the arterial system that causes many organ disorders including myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction etc.

Test Strategy

There are lot of investigation developed that allow us to determine localization and extention of arteriosclerotic lesions. But to clarify the pathogenesis only risk factors can be established.

Pathogenesis

The pathogenesis is not fully understood. There are several risk factors known until now: these include environmantal factors (smoking, diet), thrombotic and lipid disorders.
