V-KI-RAS2 Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog

Scientific background:

Summary: The KRAS gene encodes an importent protein in signal transduction. In 17-25% of human tumor cells a somatic activating mutation can be found. These mutations make make the cell resistant to GTPase activating peptides.

Methodology:

clinical
test
Method Genomic sequencing of the entire coding region
Turn-around time 20 working days
Effort little
Specimen DNA
Quality assessment Internal quality control only
All known and new missense, nonsense and splice mutations can be detected.
