Die Cushing-Symphalangie 1B ist eine autosomal dominante Erkrankung, die durch Mutationen im GDF5-Gen hervorgerufen wird. Charakteristisch sind Fusionen der proximalen Fingergelenke, Karpal- und Tarsalfusionen sowie gelegentlich einer Schallleitungsschwerhörigkeit.
