Die Brachydaktylie vom Typ D ist eine autosomal dominante Erkrankung, die durch Mutationen im HOXD13-Gen hervorgerufen wird. Charakteristisch ist die Verkürzung der Daumens. Kleinwuchs und weitere Skelettabnormalitäten sind nicht so häufig zu beobachten.
