This group includes hereditary genetic changes that affect the susceptibility or resistance to infectious diseases. Those disorders include general disturbances of the infectious defense mechanisms. Those disturbances result in a general susceptibility to all or a wider group of infections. There are also genetic variations that specifically affect resistance or susceptibility to a specific infectious agent.
